Gal Mukt Dharan
In 2024–2025, under the Jal Sampada Mission by the Government of India, Gal Mukt Dharan Yojna (GMDY) was implemented by Swami Vivekanand Seva Trust (SVST), Hingoli. The scheme, part of Mrudu Jal Sandharan Vibhag, focused on preventing water seepage by strengthening and lining irrigation channels, farm ponds, and other minor irrigation structures. The goal was to improve water use efficiency, recharge groundwater, and enhance agricultural sustainability.
The project was implemented across Hingoli district, covering its talukas and villages. SVST worked closely with local farmers to identify water loss areas and apply conservation measures. As a result, water availability for irrigation improved, contributing to better crop yields and livelihood security. This effort strengthened sustainable water management in the region.
